Finland achieved the title of Olympic Champion in the National Teams Category. The team from Sweden defended its title in the Junior National Teams Category while two gold medals were presented in the Community Catering Category to the “Compass Group Culinary Team” from Finland and the “Swiss Armed Forces Culinary Team / SACT” from Switzerland. Gelatissimo is the largest gelato trade fair north of the Alps, held in Stuttgart alongside Intergastra, the premier trade show for the hotel and gastronomy sectors. These concurrent events capitalize on their synergies, presenting a comprehensive array of offerings from the worlds of gelato, gastronomy, and hospitality. The unique location of the Stuttgart exhibition grounds directly next to the airport, motorway and metro station makes the access quick and comfortable. At the last edition of the fair, which took place in February 2024, the programme was rounded off by interesting live workshops with the best master gelato makers in Europe, as well as exciting competitions. In the Robert Widman Cup, the best confectioners had to demonstrate their talent when producing a show cake with the motto “Casino”. The Baden-Württemberg Regional Association of Confectioners’ Guilds honoured the achievements with gold, silver and bronze medals. The IKA/Culinary Olympics celebrated its 26th edition for the second time in Stuttgart concurrently with Intergastra.
